Singlebeam echosounder data were collected in the nearshore region of Chicago, IL. These bathymetric measurements were paired with onshore topographic data, captured using a drone (unmanned aerial system, UAS) to create a comprehensive dataset. The drone was employed to generate digital elevation models (DEMs) through structure-from-motion photogrammetry (SfM) techniques. Each DEM, and its associated orthomosaicand pointcloud files, are published separately. The bathymetric data and DEMare integrated using GIS to produce topobathymetric models. Data collection was done at four Chicago Park District Beaches (Foster Beach, Montrose Beach, 63rd Street Beach, and Rainbow Beach) and was part of a multi-year monitoring program aimed at measuring lake bottom elevation and monitoring changes therein. This work is funded by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Coastal Management Program.
